"The place is simple looking, nothing fancy, but the food and service was excellent. Fresh, crispy, and good amount of sauce for flavor. We had crispy spinach, tempura shrimp, general tao chicken, fried rice, crispy beef and it was all good and fresh. Very good value. There is parking around the area but you may need to look for it. We will return here."
"Tied with Mon Nan in terms of serving the best general tao chicken in Montreal (with Kam Do’s general tao chicken being a little bit better);
The chefs cook fast (without compromising on the quality of the food) and the service is great;
Some room for improvement for the atmosphere of the restaurant. Dine in is an option but they have limited seats (the restaurant is more of a take out spot).
Great overall!"
"the food was really good!! I can't believe it took me this long to try out the place. the staff was also really nice. the only downside was that I couldn't select my tip percentage."
"Best General Tao's chicken in all of Montreal. They have a general tao chicken/fried pork loin special that comes with steamed/fried rice and a drink for under $13. Lunch time special menu is worth it. Typical average service no frills asian restaurant."
"I absolutely love eating at this restaurant. By far the best Szechuan restaurant in Montreal.
Have been eating there since they opened 20 years ago. Food is always consistently good, they make specials, exceptions and take allergies seriously.
They have the best wonton and hits&sour soups I’ve ever had. Shanghai noodles, general Tao and hot pot, salt and pepper tofu, Hunan dumplings are their highlights!
Highly recommended!"
"Love it!! Haven't been in over 10 years and happy to see that the general tao and peanut butter dumplings taste exactly the same!! Those dumplings are the best I've tasted and I eat out A LOT!! However their Cantonese Chow Mein wasn't the best.."
"I placed a rather large order and was shocked when it arrived in less than half an hour. The food arrived fresh, hot and delicious. The portions are reasonable for the prices they charge and nothing was missing. Even the delivery person was polite and professional and thanked me for the tip. I definitely recommend Kam Do!"
"Really great value and excellent food quality. We ordered a few noodle dishes, fried seafood and general Tao. The dishes were tasty and you can really taste the smoke of the wok. The servers are kind and the place had a steady flow of customers. Most orders are for takeout but they do have a small dining area. Lots of regulars that came in and even though the atmosphere is not so cozy, the food is worth it! Will definitely come again."

"Crispy spinach was served cold but other than that the food was pretty good. Reasonable prices and fast service. Good for a quick lunch."4 Out of 5
